The Coffee Story

Here to fill your cup.

Experts describe our espresso as a full-bodied dark roast with notes of molasses and brown sugar.

We just call it great coffee.

Full-Bodied Dark Roast Molasses Brown Sugar
Seed to Cup

Every sip has a story.

A lot of hands touched this cup before it got to yours. Here's the whole trip, in five stops.

01
Cherry

Grown by premium farms around the world, every one of them held to the same exacting standards Distant Lands set on their own estate. High altitude. Hand-picked. Extremely picky.

02
Beans

Heavier beans for body. Brighter beans for lift. Two very different things, balanced by people who have spent decades learning exactly how much of each.

03
Roast

Brought to a perfect dark roast. The molasses and brown sugar notes aren't added — they're what happens when it's done right.

04
Espresso

Pulled fresh with every single order. Not from a pot. Not from a concentrate. That's the whole point.

05
Your Cup

Virginia Beach Blvd, before sunrise, in your hand. Worth the trip. Worth waking up for.

Who grows it

Obsessed since 1968.

Our coffee comes from Distant Lands Coffee, founded by William McAlpin at Hacienda La Minita in Costa Rica. That farm remains one of the most respected coffee estates in the world.

More importantly, it became the benchmark. Distant Lands now works with premium growers across the globe, and every one of them is held to the same exacting standards practiced at La Minita. That kind of consistency is rare in coffee. You can taste why it matters.

for bad coffee.

Especially at 6am. Especially in a drive-thru. Especially when it should be done right. So we did it right.

On the board

Hot, iced, or over the top.

Every espresso drink starts with that same dark roast. And when coffee isn't the mood, the board keeps going — hand-crafted lemonades, Southern iced tea, and a few things you won't see coming.

Hot Coffee
The Classic
Regular or decaf. Dark roast, brewed fresh, no ceremony required. The whole reason this page exists.
Lattes · Hot or Iced
Vanilla, Caramel, Mocha & Cinnamon Roll
Real espresso, steamed milk, whipped topping if you're going hot. The Cinnamon Roll one tastes exactly like the name.
New
Iced Coffee
Plain, Vanilla Cream & Caramel Cream
Cold, strong, ready before you are. Locals will argue about which cream is better. Both sides are right.
Cappuccinos · Hot
Same Four Flavors, Extra Foam
Lighter than a latte, stronger option. All four flavors, always hot, always made to order.
New
Lemonades
Five Ways, All Hand-Crafted
Classic, Peach, Strawberry, Passionfruit, and Peaches & Cream. Served with a lemon wedge because details matter.
New
Teas & More
Southern Iced Tea, Done Properly
Sweet, unsweet, fruit teas, and a Half & Half for the undecided. Plus sodas, OJ, and a few surprises on the board.

Read the story. Enjoy the coffee.

Five decades of standards, a lot of careful hands, and a very particular idea about what coffee should taste like got this cup to you. At this point, enjoying it is basically mandatory. The bird is watching.
